I am an author, writer and freelance journalist. I also produce content for websites and use my talents to validate writing, film, video and audio production, to mitigate against continuity issues.
I also write scripts for audio and video projects which I mix, edit and produce to high specification.
I have a degree in Pyschology, a Masters in Business Administration and, just for fun, am currently studying for a BA in English Literature and Language.
I have a wealth of experience in the corporate business, public and music sectors. These experiences, together with my lifeskills and qualifications, enable me to bring an enviable amount of knowledge, understanding and enthusiasm to every writing project I accept.
Fully engaged by the technical and content possibilities that the world of social media offers, I am an enthusiastic advocate of tools such as blogs, wikis, twitter and content management systems.
I’ve written commissioned features and contributed to articles that have appeared in local and national magazines in the UK, and several magazines and websites based overseas.
I also write film, book and television reviews for international outlets.
I have significant experience in music journalism; I regularly write gig-, single-, band-, and album reviews for a number of outlets. I produce web content for a number of unsigned bands for their own websites. I write their PR and marketing information, produce their industry press releases and generate and manage their media calendars.
In addition to these roles, I also interview artists, bands and notable personalities in the music world. These interviews may be for print- or web-based outlets, but, if required, I also produce fully-edited and professionally-finished interviews in both audio and video formats.
Away from the music world, I have also helped individuals and organisations determine their information strategies, and helped shape message calendars and release timetables.
On the web front I work with customers’ web designers to produce content that is meaningful, underlines core values and strikes chords with the appropriate audience.
The largest web-based project I have successfully completed was the specification and design of the multi-media content management system Planet Earth Online.
I produce written content for magazines, websites and adverts, and also write speeches for public and private occasions.
Work published in my own name includes a significant number of short stories, and my first novel ‘Crossing The Line‘.
