As you seem to have trouble understanding the Glasgow North East by-election results this morning, I thought I’d give you this handy, four point, cut-out-and-keep primer:
1. if only 32.97% of the electorate turned out and voted, whoever is declared the winner does not have a mandate from the electorate
2. if only 59.93% of those 32.97% voted for one party, it might be ‘a great day for Labour’, but it is not a mandate from the electorate
3. see 1. above
4. see 2. above

No, no, no . . .
You’re missing the real story behind this election.
Proof, if proof were needed etc etc . . .

Well said. And let’s be fair, it’s not like a Labour win is a massive victory since it’s one of those areas that would vote Labour even if the proposed candidate was merely a sprout wearing a red rosette.
I honestly can’t think of any one worth voting for.
All I want is someone to come forward and speak with conviction on principles they hold dear and that I share. Is that asking too much??
Someone who has the balls to undo decades of damage to the education system, someone who realises that Welfare isn’t just about chucking loads of money at the problem and hoping it will go away, someone who can lead and doesn’t give a toss what The Sun thinks.
If we weren’t so bloody British we would have had a revolution by now.
If we weren’t so bloody British we would have had a revolution by now.
Perfect!
