Brwydr gyfreithiol am dystlythyr

Roedd Christine Laird yn arfer gweithio i Gyngor Rhondda Cynon Taf

Mae’n bosib y gallai un o gynghorau Cymru wynebu talu cannoedd o filoedd o bunnoedd mewn costau oherwydd anghydfod ynglÅ·n â thystlythyr a roddwyd i gyn-weithiwr.

Mae rhaglen Dragon’s Eye y BBC wedi cael gwybod bod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Cheltenham yn dwyn achos yn erbyn Cyngor Rhondda Cynon Taf ynglÅ·n â geirda a roddwyd i Christine Laird.

Cafodd Miss Laird ei phenodi yn rheolwr gyfarwyddwr y cyngor yn Cheltenham yn 2002 ond fe adawodd yn 2005 ar ôl anghydfod.

Mae Cyngor Rhondda Cynon Taf wedi dweud y bydden nhw amddiffyn eu hunain.

  1. I have no idea what this post says … but does this mean that you are a Welsh speaker?
Hurrah! I am currently feeling very Welsh (my family (grandparents) come from South Wales, small village near Newport) and me and my dad have recently begun delving into our family tree / getting in contact with our Welsh relatives … it’s all very exciting.

  2. You’re right. They’re not Welsh speakers now … but in past generations they were. My great grandparents were ‘passive bilinguals’ (understood but didn’t speak it) and I believe that the generation before were Welsh-speakers.

I am very interested in the subject of the repression of the Celtic languages … I wrote a dissertation once on what happened in Brittany (i.e. basically same as what happened in Wales). Totally shocking.

What’s the gist of your post, then?
