{"id":10136,"date":"2014-05-01T04:44:31","date_gmt":"2014-05-01T03:44:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=10136"},"modified":"2014-05-01T04:44:31","modified_gmt":"2014-05-01T03:44:31","slug":"spanish-tour-part-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=10136","title":{"rendered":"Spanish Tour, part 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This was actually half a leg of the journey.<\/p>\n<p>The pre-breakfast run out of the centre of the city of Granada, down to the rural town of \u00d3rgiva, passes through some of the most stunning countryside that Spain has to offer.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of the high-ground, and low-ground scenery as you pass off the motorway and pick up the Alpujarra mountain road in to\u00a0\u00d3rgiva, are breathtaking.<\/p>\n<p>The snow-capped mountains (remember this was mid-April) in the distance, the lakes in the foreground, and the parched, arid farmland all throw up an eye-catching set of inconsistencies.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s easy to see why so many people have, over the years, chosen to live in the Alpujarra.<\/p>\n<p>Although it is\u00a0just 41 miles from Granada to breakfast, the journey takes an hour because of those lovely mountain roads.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/isEgrPGgVtw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This was actually half a leg of the journey.
