{"id":10241,"date":"2014-10-08T08:01:11","date_gmt":"2014-10-08T07:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=10241"},"modified":"2014-10-08T12:45:07","modified_gmt":"2014-10-08T11:45:07","slug":"mapping-a-fix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=10241","title":{"rendered":"Mapping a fix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I forgot to note that I have fixed the Daytona&#8217;s intermittent starting problem.<\/p>\n<p>After carefully researching the symptoms\u00a0(poking about on the internet, speaking to other very geeky Triumph owners and talking to a couple of motorbike mechanics), a solution was suggested.<\/p>\n<p>I downloaded a new version of the engine management software.<\/p>\n<p>Then I remapped the engine with the updated software.<\/p>\n<p>And that fixed the problem, as easily as that.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure what Triumph changed, but it could have been any number of things.<\/p>\n<p>I strongly suspect they adjusted the sensitivity of the automatic choke, but the bottom line is the new EMS fixed the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Yay!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I forgot to note that I have fixed the Daytona&#8217;s intermittent starting problem.
