It has been, to use the phrase, ‘one of those days’.<\/p>\n
I’ve got a lot on my plate at work, right now.<\/p>\n
I’m coming to the conclusion of one of my projects.<\/p>\n
Another is in full flight.<\/p>\n
The third is in discovery.<\/p>\n
On top of these routine things, I knew it was going to be one of ‘those’ days.<\/p>\n
A day of many meetings.<\/p>\n
Some of them would undoubtedly be uncomfortable.<\/p>\n
I need to make swift progress with all of them.<\/p>\n
I’m up against some challenging targets.<\/p>\n
Delivery and financial.<\/p>\n
And one or two of the people I’m working with are\u2026<\/p>\n
Bad tempered.<\/p>\n
The sum of all of these things means that this period, this week, I’m wading through the brown and smelly.<\/p>\n
I’m short on sleep.<\/p>\n
And long on work.<\/p>\n
I was in the office at just after 7am.<\/p>\n
I left at just after 7pm.<\/p>\n
This afternoon, between fractious meetings, I was given a fourth project to deliver.<\/p>\n
As a rush job.<\/p>\n
