{"id":10825,"date":"2015-06-21T20:15:14","date_gmt":"2015-06-21T19:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=10825"},"modified":"2015-08-01T16:04:16","modified_gmt":"2015-08-01T15:04:16","slug":"maybe-time-to-change-the-commuter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=10825","title":{"rendered":"Maybe time to change the commuter?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In one and a half weeks I will have had the ZX9R for a year.<\/p>\n<p>In that time the mileage has somehow crept up\u00a0from 18,230 to 41,000.<\/p>\n<p>For no other reason than the mileage, I&#8217;m mulling over changing the commuter for something that hasn&#8217;t done as much work.<\/p>\n<p>But what to look at?<\/p>\n<p>My first thought was a Gixxer thou, because I know they&#8217;re reliable, durable, and nimble.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/wp-content\/2015\/06\/GSXR1000a.jpg\" alt=\"GSX-R1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And then I started wondering about an R1.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/wp-content\/2015\/06\/YamahaR1.jpg\" alt=\"Yamaha R1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Truthfully, I don&#8217;t know which way to jump.<\/p>\n<p>But yes, I do think that 41,000 miles is a bit long in the tooth for an everyday workhorse commuting bike.<\/p>\n<p>So if you have any (sensible) ideas, drop me a line.<\/p>\n<p>My full criteria is: Must be reliable, durable, and nimble.<\/p>\n<p>And a sportsbike.
