I started up this blog in June 2007 which, seeing as it’s the end of May 2016, seems like a long time ago.<\/p>\n
Nine years.<\/p>\n
I started my first blog over on Blogger many years before.<\/p>\n
The blogging bug, it comes and goes.<\/p>\n
It’s a little like The Force.<\/p>\n
Sometimes it’s strong with this one.<\/p>\n
Sometimes it isn’t.<\/p>\n
I’m still going to have a crack at the Music Challenge in June.<\/p>\n
That’ll be a test.<\/p>\n
Or not.<\/p>\n
But, either way, I’m going to make more of a go of this.<\/p>\n
There have been some changes, and challenges, in my life lately.<\/p>\n
And, as a result, I was tempted to consider closing this blog down and moving to a private, anonymous place.<\/p>\n
And that’s always an option.<\/p>\n
But for now, bollocks to that.<\/p>\n
This is my home.<\/p>\n
It’s a bit wartsy-and-all, but it’s where I hang out.<\/p>\n
For better, for worse.<\/p>\n
For faster, for slower.<\/p>\n
In sleepiness and in wide-awake-at-2am-ness.<\/p>\n
So I’m going to try and rebuild the blogging (not sure if kicking things off with the much thought-about June Music Challenge is a wise way forward, but what the hey).<\/p>\n
And maybe try to rebuild my links to the blogging community too.<\/p>\n
So yeah.<\/p>\n
That.<\/p>\n
Because this blogging thing and I, we have a history.<\/p>\n
And history is important.<\/p>\n
Because if it wasn’t, none of us would know what happened in 1066.<\/p>\n
And we do.<\/p>\n
Or at least I do.<\/p>\n
It’s when Cromwell burned the cakes in the Great Fire of London.<\/p>\n
Or something.<\/p>\n
