{"id":11761,"date":"2016-10-19T18:17:06","date_gmt":"2016-10-19T17:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=11761"},"modified":"2016-10-19T18:17:06","modified_gmt":"2016-10-19T17:17:06","slug":"heart-attack-diary-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=11761","title":{"rendered":"Heart Attack Diary: #10"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>It&#8217;s a small world after all<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CbIhYhrOJAg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>At 2pm this afternoon I was sitting in the waiting room, waiting for my Cardiac Clinic Follow-up.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this particular follow-up clinic is so that the cardiac specialist nurse can check on the health and well-being of the patient, check on the patient&#8217;s recovery strategy, and make sure that the meds we have to take aren&#8217;t interfering with life, the universe, and everything.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Hello chap!&#8217; said a voice.<\/p>\n<p>It was AD (not his real name, obv).<\/p>\n<p>I used to work with AD in my previous job, where he was a senior manager in IT at a FTSE top 10 company.<\/p>\n<p>It turns out that AD had a heart attack on the same day I had mine.<\/p>\n<p>He had a few more stents put in than I.<\/p>\n<p>That two senior managers in IT should have a heart attack on the same day is perhaps not much of a coincidence.<\/p>\n<p>But we both live in Nottingham.<\/p>\n<p>And we both worked for the same company.<\/p>\n<p>Now that&#8217;s a bunch of coincidences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s a small world after all &nbsp; At 2pm this afternoon I was sitting in the waiting room, waiting for my Cardiac Clinic Follow-up.
