I’ve neglected writing news lately.<\/p>\n

Bit odd, for a blog on a writer’s website.<\/p>\n

But fingers in pies etc.<\/p>\n

So the news…<\/p>\n

Words Magazine have very kindly published one of my shorts.<\/p>\n

Nice.<\/p>\n

Frankly I feel\u00c2\u00a0embarrassed and a little self-conscious.<\/p>\n

It sits in the company of work of some excellent authors.<\/p>\n

But it’s nice to see it there.<\/p>\n

Words Magazine is available at www.wordsmag.com<\/a> and you need to pay money to read it.<\/p>\n

Or you can read my short stories on my\u00c2\u00a0main website and try to guess which one they’ve chosen.<\/p>\n

Words Magazine\u00c2\u00a0have made a couple of nice edits, one in particular is visually stunning.<\/p>\n

I’ve decided not to steal their edits though.<\/p>\n

And I have an idea.<\/p>\n

It’s a germ of a longish short story based on a kind of cultural parallax as seen through underground\u00c2\u00a0events in 21st Century society.<\/p>\n

Sounds a bit deep when I see\u00c2\u00a0it like that.<\/p>\n

But in my head it’s punchy and not a little bit scary.<\/p>\n

It’s based on events that recently occurred to me in London.<\/p>\n

And I think in format it’s a radio play.<\/p>\n

I’m going to work out a synopsis and see if I can get BBC Radio Drama interested.<\/p>\n
