{"id":12336,"date":"2018-02-03T20:45:21","date_gmt":"2018-02-03T20:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=12336"},"modified":"2021-01-20T13:29:51","modified_gmt":"2021-01-20T13:29:51","slug":"roadtrip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=12336","title":{"rendered":"Blogathon: 3\/18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we spent almost seven hours in the car travelling some of England&#8217;s <del>finest<\/del> most awful highways and byways.<\/p>\n<p>The A52, A1, A1(M), M11, A12, M25, A13, A406, M11 (again), M25 (again), M1, A46&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So much awfulness it defies my attempts at description right now.<\/p>\n<p>315 miles.<\/p>\n<p>The weather was awful.<\/p>\n<p>The roads (and I mean the condition of the roads) were awfuler.<\/p>\n<p>And the majority of the other drivers were awfulest.<\/p>\n<p>Honestly.<\/p>\n<p>When did it stop being a requirement for people to take a driving test?<\/p>\n<p>How long have we been allowing morons to be in total control of killing machines?<\/p>\n<p>There were a lot of English villages missing their idiots today.<\/p>\n<p>Because they were all on the roads.<\/p>\n<p>Education (the whole driving test thing) doesn&#8217;t seem to be working.<\/p>\n<p>The deterrent (3 points on a licence and \u00a3100 fine) doesn&#8217;t seem to be working either.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we spent almost seven hours in the car travelling some of England&#8217;s finest most awful highways and byways.
