{"id":12435,"date":"2018-02-25T19:42:55","date_gmt":"2018-02-25T19:42:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=12435"},"modified":"2021-01-20T13:17:54","modified_gmt":"2021-01-20T13:17:54","slug":"doggy-tales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=12435","title":{"rendered":"Blogathon: 25\/18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have new bicycles!<\/p>\n<p>Sam uses hers to occasionally commute to work, but apart from a very brief lap of the neighbourhood, I haven&#8217;t used mine yet.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway.<\/p>\n<p>Young Masher is prone to flashing his bitch around, because he knows I am jealous of him and his canine friend.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I love our cats; they have made the house in to an even more homely place (if that&#8217;s believable).<\/p>\n<p>But what my heart is hankering for is a dog.<\/p>\n<p>A four-legged friend who I can train in the useful skills, such as making a nice cup of tea, sending down the village shop for a bag of sweets (or biscuits). That kind of thing.<\/p>\n<p>And walks. Which may include me on my bike and the dog doing the walking.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, I&#8217;ve had dogs before so I know the probable reality of the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Dog doing what it wants to do, when it wants to do it.
