{"id":12545,"date":"2018-06-11T21:16:14","date_gmt":"2018-06-11T20:16:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=12545"},"modified":"2018-06-11T21:16:34","modified_gmt":"2018-06-11T20:16:34","slug":"blogathon-11-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=12545","title":{"rendered":"Blogathon 11\/18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Continuing the everyday look at everyday objects through the camera lens\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The subject of today&#8217;s photograph of an everyday object is commonly called a sack of crap.<\/p>\n<p>No, this isn&#8217;t a continuation of yesterday&#8217;s horse manure airing.<\/p>\n<p>Not that you&#8217;d want horse manure to be aired, as such.<\/p>\n<p>But still.<\/p>\n<p>We had new broadband today.<\/p>\n<p>But this isn&#8217;t about that, not directly.<\/p>\n<p>This is about a different sack of crap.<\/p>\n<p>I would like to introduce you to our colour printer\/scanner.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an Epson XP 245.<\/p>\n<p>Epson, the well-known manufacturer of printers, and XP 245 meaning eXtremely Pisspoor printer number 245.<\/p>\n<p>Like all printers, the Epson XP 245 is supposed to just sync to the WiFi router and then sit quietly, waiting silently for orders, in exactly the same way Douglas Adams&#8217; talking toaster doesn&#8217;t, in the HHGTTG.<\/p>\n<p>The Epson XP 245 doesn&#8217;t do that because it falls at the first hurdle.<\/p>\n<p>It. Won&#8217;t. Sync. To. The. New.
