{"id":13080,"date":"2020-02-20T14:23:13","date_gmt":"2020-02-20T14:23:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=13080"},"modified":"2020-02-20T14:32:48","modified_gmt":"2020-02-20T14:32:48","slug":"blogathon-20-20-bowling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=13080","title":{"rendered":"Blogathon 20\/20: Bowling (but not for soup)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As in Ten Pin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have a day off!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it is half term we decided that I would take a day&#8217;s leave and we would take the dogs up to the Peaks in Derbyshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately the weather had other ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So we went Ten Pin Bowling this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately the bowls were a bit wonky, the lanes were slightly uneven and the adding-up\/scoring software was a bit glitchy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For both games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whodathort?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But despite these things we had a great time, though the dogs didn&#8217;t come with us, obvs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nottinghamshire County Council&#8217;s road maintenance contractors are still digging up the lane through the village, so as soon as we got home Sam decided to make tea for them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uncharacteristically the weather has given us a temporary lull; the wind is reduced to mere tree-bending and the rain has stopped. Not for long, I&#8217;m sure, but it has stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll go and collect the mugs shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, here&#8217;s Bowling For Soup and &#8216;1985&#8217;.
