But how to safely transport a 22-year old Law student from Torquay to Nottingham, avoiding unnecessary contact with the dipsticks that are the general public, in this time of plague?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well, you drive it,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So on the Saturday I drove the ten-hour round trip to south Devon and back to Nottingham. That’s just shy of 500 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the following Saturday I undertook the same ten-hour round trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The only thing I will say about it is the pace of motorway traffic from just north of Bristol south to halfway between Weston Super Mare and Exeter is deeply suspicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I mean, two consecutive Saturdays, exactly the same bottleneck, exactly the same start point, exactly the same end point, exactly the same clear motorway (no breakdowns, no crashes)…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
