I&#8217;ve been catching up with some overdue geekage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve updated the core .php versions on a bunch of websites I host. I&#8217;ve removed some legacy functionality (always best to get rid of code that is no longer used). And I&#8217;ve installed SSL certificates on a bunch of websites, to stop that annoying Chrome message &#8216;This site is not secure&#8217; from popping up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Global and incremental backups are taken automatically, but I&#8217;ve just run through the audit logs just to check everything&#8217;s still good. It is. I&#8217;ve done a test restore-from-backup for one of the websites and its php\/MySQL database. All OK, obviously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next I&#8217;m going to run through the backup records on the NAS, to make sure that the laptop is protected against any unfortunate events. Then I&#8217;ll check the NAS backup file library, and then I&#8217;ll run through the NAS-to-external-storage backups, just to ensure everything is in order there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Belt and braces.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After walking the dogs (and brrrr, it&#8217; was minus 2c out there!)
