The dogs loved it up there, running and jumping through the heather. I am approximately halfway through a fortnight’s annual leave (the rest of the household having been off school since – it seems like – early July). I know they haven’t been, that’s just how it seems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To celebrate not having to get up at the crack of dawn to walk the dogs before logging on to various work systems, I have been getting up at the crack of dawn to walk the dogs before bacon cobs have been shoved down my throat. Awesome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have made tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We went over there (points in that direction) in the caravan and stayed at our favourite little CL for a couple of nights. It’s a great little venue; very dog-friendly and we love it there. Then we came home, briefly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I took the Ninja down to South Wales on a day trip; 300-miles there and back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next day we took the caravan up to the Derbyshire Peak District for a couple of nights and pitched up on another little CL. We did a couple of small trips; Bakewell for cake (obviously), and the Nine Ladies Bronze-Age stone circle<\/a>. The stone circle is set in largely unfenced land on a hilltop moor (someone who lives in Derbyshire tried to convince me it was ‘high up’, but 320m, to a Welshman, is far from high).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The dogs loved it up there, running and jumping through the heather.
