My Samsung S9 is end of life. Four years old and end of life. There’s something sad about that. It still works nicely. Makes and receives calls (I’ve recently jumped ship from Vodafone after 20+ years, now nestling quite happily with GiffGaff for 1\/3rd of the monthly fee), does all the messaging, apps and internetting I could (and do) want. But the battery charge is evaporating quicker than a politician’s promise. It’s still a terrific little device but disconnect it from a power source and it drops to 12% far too rapidly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We recently bought a Samsung A52S 5G for one of the girls and I’m very impressed. For less than a few hundred quid the A52S 5G is a splendidly powerful and well spec’d device. It’s a bit of a no brainer really. The S9 is on its last legs and the A52S 5G does everything I need it to do (and with considerably more storage and RAM) than the S9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So why haven’t I done the deed? Why am I still clinging on to the S9 when I could have its replacement here by the end of the week?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I really don’t know why. Some kind of brand loyalty, perhaps? I need to get over it, whatever it is. A mobile phone that you can’t take places without a power supply at hand isn’t very mobile really, is it?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
