We have a dual-meter day\/night economy 7 system. We don’t have night storage heaters (which were the reason many homes had economy 7 meters installed in the first place) – or anything else *heavy* that would operate on the night tariff. We do set the dishwasher and washing machine to come on after midnight, but that’s it. Our central heating system is gas-powered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ovo, in their comms, use the word ‘may’ a lot. If we don’t change to a smart meter our energy supply *may* be impacted, things *may* not work properly (without actually saying what things these are likely to be), and our energy bills *may* go up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This sounds like a load of bullshit to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
