Unfortunately they both happened at the same time and that meant awkward moments when it came to planning pre-deployment and deployment activities. But hey ho, these things are meant to try us (or some other equally trite expression).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I pulled the Fosseway Writers website away from WordPress.com and onto a self-hosted platform. I migrated all the content across, added a few bells and whistles and then set an auto redirect on the legacy wordpress.com address. <a href=\"https:\/\/fossewaywriters.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/fossewaywriters.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The new website is here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I gave the Save Tollerton Airfield website a major makeover then I built a &#8216;donate&#8217; function (which caused me hours of grief) and created a document and image library. <a href=\"https:\/\/savenottinghamairfield.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/savenottinghamairfield.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The new and improved website is here<\/a>. BTW, I took that overhead shot of the airfield!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now all I need to do is get some <s>pressed men<\/s> volunteers in each organisation to come up with content to keep the websites fresh and interesting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been a tad busy on a couple of website projects.
