The big clipper ones, not the tiddly little secateurs. A few days later I tackled The Brambles of Doom, stuffed their remains into the green bin and it was emptied the next day. Last week I attacked The Other Brambles of Doom, stuffed their remains into the green bin which, hopefully, will be emptied tomorrow. Today I gave the lawn its final cut of the year which lifted the contents in the green bin beyond its ‘safe’ margin, but it’s still wheelable. I’d like to cut The Front Brambles of Doom, but the green bin will take no more until it’s emptied. If the weather holds, I’ll get that job done over the weekend. These jobs are the extent of my ‘gardening’ repertoire. Except for chainsawing the occasional tree limb. Or putting the circular saw to the remains of one of the garden fences which keeled over during storm A (or was it storm B?) last week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
A couple of weeks ago I bought a stunning set of garden shears.
