I’ve got a big, serious-looking blog in progress but I just had to dump this one quickly<\/em><\/p>\n

I can’t carry on.<\/p>\n

Sniff.<\/p>\n

I’m sad that it’s come to this but, in a nutshell and not to prevaricate about the bush, the time has come.<\/p>\n

To bite the bullet.<\/p>\n

Take the bull by the horns.<\/p>\n

Grasp the nettle.<\/p>\n

Make difficult choices.<\/p>\n

We’re all grown-ups here, right?<\/p>\n

So we have to be adult about this.<\/p>\n

A time for unpleasant things.<\/p>\n

But hey, good things can come out of forward movements.<\/p>\n

And the time is, most definitely, time for moving on.<\/p>\n

And letting go.<\/p>\n

And it’s the letting go that we need to discuss today.<\/p>\n

Sigh.<\/p>\n

It’s been what seems like a long time but, let’s be frank, it hasn’t been that <\/em>long really, has it?<\/p>\n

Couple of weeks?<\/p>\n

Time to bite the bullet (You’ve already done that one. Ed)<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Grasp the nettle by the horns (Look, you’re making them up now!).<\/em><\/p>\n

Too many cooks spoil the broth (Can’t you even keep them relevant now?)<\/em>.<\/p>\n

But you see that’s the root of the problem.<\/p>\n

There are<\/em> too many cooks – though they’re not spoiling the broth.<\/p>\n

Today has to be my last lunch here.<\/p>\n

The staff restaurant…<\/p>\n

It’s having a direct influence on the tightness of my trousers.<\/p>\n

So that’s it then.<\/p>\n

No more.<\/p>\n

Sniff.<\/p>\n

I’ll miss you!<\/p>\n

Don’t forget to write, let me know how you’re getting on will you?<\/p>\n

And those deliciously tempting little scents you keep sending down the stairs, you won’t stop making those will you?<\/p>\n

Spicy vegetable stew today.<\/p>\n

It was lovely.<\/p>\n

Perhaps it’s best to end like this after all.<\/p>\n

You know, finish things on a high note; leave when they can’t get much better.<\/p>\n

But it doesn’t alter the fact…<\/p>\n
