I’m re-editing Novel #2 down to the level of subatomic particles. I can’t help it, I’m OCD about writing. I’ll give you an example of the itch that if I could I’d scratch raw. I read a blog, it’s a new one. It’s about this decade, which is an interesting topic. I mean, would you really write about this decade whilst you’re still in it? From where comes the objectivity? Anyway, it’s really well written – that is, it is really well written from the point of style; the writing is appealing. But it’s really really shit in as much as it’s wildly inaccurate. You can’t, for example, say a thing occurred in this decade and then hilight a thing which began two years before this decade did. Why can’t you? Because it’s fucking inaccurate, dimbo. No professional newspaper or magazine editor (and no amateur ones I can think of) would accept such a screaming no-no. I should just give it the Vulcan Death Glare and walk away, but can I? Oh no. I’ve just got to go and leave a comment pointing out, to the author, how shite his logic is. Why can’t I just bin it and never revisit? Because I like the writing, is why. It’s like a really entertaining story about polar-bears originating in a tower block in Penge. And about as well-grounded in reality. An error that big – almost as big as the size of Jonathan Ross’s ego (if you can imagine something *that big*) should never have made it on to anyone’s monitor. I want to say ‘if you’re going to write well, then fucking write well!’, but I suppose what I should do is say ‘your research skills are considerably poorer than the average 8-year-old’ and walk away. That’s my OCD I guess.<\/p>\n

I’ve got six band\/album reviews to write. I’ve got a piece of freelance to write. I’ve got a radio script to finish. I’m behind on my Cubase homework. I’ve got an audio interview from one of the members of Fanfarlo to edit down. I’ve now got two horses to ride. I want to take a germ of an idea that’s been in my head for a few days and turn it in to a pop video script. And someone in London seems to be quite keen to hand me a three-month contract to sort out a bunch of their organisational issues.<\/p>\n
I also have 301 unread blogs in my bloglines account.<\/p>\n
And we did have 501 unread emails in the podcast inbox but I’ve just had a blitz and got that down to 350 unread. Another blitz tomorrow, methinks.<\/p>\n
