A communication arrives from one of my former Universities.<\/p>\n
Would I be interested in being a mentor\u00a0to one or more students?<\/p>\n
My initial thought was “They’d have to be desperate to consider asking me!”<\/p>\n
But I’ve thought about it for a while and at least I’ve stopped giggling now.<\/p>\n
It’s nice to be asked.<\/p>\n
But my MBA mentor was the Chairman of ICI (well yes, I know I struck gold with my letter to him whereas my co-students had to make do with folk they worked for, but that’s not the point).<\/p>\n
The point is the quality and quantity<\/em> of time and effort that I was generously given by my mentor.<\/p>\n After a huge amount of thought I’ve said yes,\u00a0but to no more than one.<\/p>\n I hope it’s the right decision – for me as well as for my ‘mentoree’; it would be a shame if I couldn’t do him\/her justice because of my own time constraints.<\/p>\n B<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A communication arrives from one of my former Universities.
