I woke up this morning – Saturday – with a really sore bum.<\/p>\n
What the hell was going on behind my back in my sleep?<\/p>\n
No, I don’t know either.<\/p>\n
Anyway.<\/p>\n
We’re going to a gig again tonight.<\/p>\n
This’ll be only our second gig\u00a0in two weeks.<\/p>\n
Must be getting old or something.<\/p>\n
Tonight’s gig is a four-band session and an Album launch.<\/p>\n
At the top of the bill: the awe-inspiring\u00a0‘Fine Lines’ will be given its\u00a0live debut\u00a0by Oxfordshire-based The Rock of Travolta.<\/p>\n
It’s taken the band eight\u00a0years to get the album to this point.<\/p>\n
I’m trying to get my head around a group of five musicians taking\u00a0eight years of effort, energy and enthusiasm – and their spare time! – to get the composition and performance of a work sufficiently close to a place, where they’re finally satisfied enough to declare it as being finished.<\/p>\n
Eight years.<\/p>\n
That’s a bit boggling.<\/p>\n
But I’m really looking forward to it.<\/p>\n
