I know you’re getting fed up with the ‘I haven’t written anything because I am just *so* busy’ line of excuses.<\/p>\n

So here’s a new one.<\/p>\n

I haven’t written anything of substance for ages because.<\/p>\n

I have no bathroom floor.<\/p>\n

[pauses to let the sheer weight of that sink in]<\/p>\n

Well yes.<\/p>\n

Having no proper bathroom floor doesn’t actually stop me from writing anything, obv.<\/p>\n

But it’s better than ‘Oh, I’m so busy and…’.<\/p>\n

Hopefully the bathroom floor is going back down tomorrow.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure this will suddenly lead to a massive outpouring of words from me, though.<\/p>\n

Sadly.<\/p>\n

Anyway.<\/p>\n

After a last-minute donation from a person who wasn’t in on the original bet, I have handed over a cheque for \u00a360 to the ILPH, following my driving test goings-on.<\/p>\n

I’m helping out at the Ascott-under-Wychwood British Eventing one-day event on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Judging dressage.<\/p>\n

I’ve worked out that I either have a section that includes a handful of international riders, or I’ve got the under-18s.<\/p>\n

I hope it’s the former, obv.<\/p>\n

Although I won’t complain if it’s the latter.<\/p>\n

I spent most of yesterday lunchtime editing the Long Dead Signal interview that we recorded in Nottingham at the Dot To Dot Festival.<\/p>\n

Yay!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately I haven’t yet edited the Yunioshi interview – and the Nottingham ‘special’ show is tomorrow evening.<\/p>\n

Boo!<\/p>\n

I may have to get up earlier than usual tomorrow, to try and get it done.<\/p>\n

In other news.<\/p>\n

I can’t help wondering how a racist, sexist, bullying Head of HR<\/a> at publicly-owned Network Rail gets found guilty of these offences, yet keeps his \u00a3350,000\/year job.<\/p>\n

Whilst a racist, sexist, bullying teacher<\/a> at a publicly-owned school loses his \u00a395,000\/year job and pension.<\/p>\n

That wouldn’t be one rule for one bunch of people and another rule for another bunch, would it?<\/p>\n

Because, you know, as this is now Cameron’s Big Society, I think I can form my own police force and put the people who made these\u00a0decisions\u00a0in the stocks.<\/p>\n
