{"id":523,"date":"2008-05-06T05:07:11","date_gmt":"2008-05-06T05:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=523"},"modified":"2015-02-25T20:37:23","modified_gmt":"2015-02-25T20:37:23","slug":"wow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=523","title":{"rendered":"Wow!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to this article in Billboard Magazine, there are 125,000 podcasts available on iTunes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.podcastalley.com\/podcast_details.php?pod_id=55064\" title=\"This Reality on Podcast Alley\" target=\"_blank\">Podcast Alley<\/a> reveals that This Reality podcast is currently ranked 2,932 (up from the previous listing at 3,280).<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t for one instant believe the two pieces of information are entirely linkable but it&#8217;s an interesting benchmark (our server&#8217;s RAW stats indicate a clear majority of This Reality&#8217;s downloads are via iTunes).<\/p>\n<p>I feel that whenever I say iTunes I should add the words &#8216;other podcatchers are available&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>On that topic, I&#8217;m currently playing with myPodder which seems to be a neat, client-less (and free, natch)\u00c2\u00a0 alternative to the iTunes directory.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>B<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to this article in Billboard Magazine, there are 125,000 podcasts available on iTunes.
