{"id":534,"date":"2008-05-13T13:12:50","date_gmt":"2008-05-13T13:12:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=534"},"modified":"2008-05-13T13:12:50","modified_gmt":"2008-05-13T13:12:50","slug":"i-need-help","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=534","title":{"rendered":"I need help"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Some people have been saying this for years!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve decided that I need paid help; the admin demands are killing what little time I have available.<\/p>\n<p>So this morning on the way in I began concocting an advert for a part-time book keeping\/administrative person; maybe five hours a week.<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;ll have to work from (their) home but I&#8217;ll provide him\/her with the hardware, software etc.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve just done a deal with Dell for a special build Notebook which will be delivered next week; the idea is that I&#8217;ll transfer the memory-hungry applications to the new kit and the old one will just run the office applications.<\/p>\n<p>This person&#8217;s duties are likely to include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Admin: <\/strong><br \/>\n* collecting post from the sorting office<br \/>\n* opening, sorting, filing and dealing with the (small amount of) correspondence<\/p>\n<p><strong>Book-keeping:<\/strong><br \/>\n*  generating invoices<br \/>\n* checking payments received<br \/>\n* preparing VAT returns<br \/>\n* AOB<\/p>\n<p>Now then&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve tried to canvass the market and I&#8217;m surprised at the results, so let me ask&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>What would you think would be a reasonable hourly rate?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>B<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some people have been saying this for years!
