As that nice Mr Rumsfeld* said.<\/em><\/p>\n

We spent yesterday in Oxfordshire on a mission, shopping for a new home.<\/p>\n

We made lots of notes about estate agents, towns, villages, shops, facilities, amenities and, of course, properties.<\/p>\n

We looked at prices and kind of set our budget, picked up a local property newspaper and noted various details.<\/p>\n

Then we arrived back home and set about making internet enquiries about various properties.<\/p>\n

Having done that I spent some time making internet enquiries about possible homes for Vin.<\/p>\n

Vin is, I guess, a little like a child in this respect. With a child you’d want a good school, you’d want a good area, you’d want good facilities for your child – in essence, you’d want the new place to be a total home (not just a place to live).<\/p>\n

I think finding a good place for Vin will be the hardest thing about moving, though I would consider having to travel a significant distance away from the house if the right place wasn’t nearby.<\/p>\n

But today one of the agents against whom we made an internet enquiry called to say that the property we were interested in had gone, but she took a bunch of details about our requirements and said when something else came up she’d call. Then she asked about pets and I said only a 16.2hh Thoroughbred gelding.<\/p>\n

So she gave me the phone number of a possible home for Vin – and mentioned a couple of other places in to the bargain.<\/p>\n

Perhaps I’m wrong, perhaps Vin will be the easier part of this little family to get accommodated!<\/p>\n
