Monday evening, meal eaten, second of many cups of tea appropriately disposed of, first two of six sound files edited, chapter of Slam read, notes of meeting typed up, it’s time for the comedy event…<\/p>\n

Eighteen minutes later I’ve laughed so much that my sides hurt. And she was suffering from hiccup-induced giggles.<\/p>\n
She found it particularly funny when, as we were speaking, I opened a Cadbury’s Twirl and the wrapping split down the side but one of the chocolate fingers had been crushed in transit and I got covered in a fine spray of chocolate crumbs and spent ages dabbing a moist finger on the chocolate particles and licking them off whilst talking to her between slurps.<\/p>\n
As well as the mirth that this evening’s call produced we also covered:<\/p>\n
She’s going shopping in Granada on Thursday with a couple of school friends and a girl from Italy who is visiting friends in the village.<\/p>\n
She rode in to the high mountains on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. But I said she needs to be thinking about looking for a larger horse because she’s outgrown Tomas<\/em> now. I suggested a nice 14.2hh Andalusian mare might be more suited, and we talked about how she wouldn’t have to let Tomas<\/em> go because there’s plenty of room on the Finca<\/em>. But they’d need to increase the amount of hay they bought in for the winter if she did get another horse.<\/p>\n She goes back to school in four weeks. She’s looking forward to it. She thinks that three and a half months holiday is a bit boring. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n We discussed the presents I promised her if she did well in her exams – and let’s be honest, coming top of class in Lengua<\/em> and Mathematica<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0 deserves some kind of significant reward. I asked if she wanted a new pair of snow skis for the winter but she said she might like a snowboard. The jury is still out.<\/p>\n We both agreed that Rhianna’s ‘Disturbia<\/em>‘ is the worst record that’s ever been made. In fact we decided that it’s so bad the record company probably released it as a comedy single, but just forgot to tell everyone about the ‘comedy’ bit. Apparently the new Marie Isabel<\/em> album is much better but I can’t validate that! [this might be good :)]. I did mention that ‘Cultura<\/em>‘ by Breed 77 is better but she did the face-pull thing that she sometimes does when she mistakenly believes I’m talking rubbish; I can tell when she’s doing that face-pull thing, even over the phone.<\/p>\n And that was it.<\/p>\n Laughter, giggling and chocolate crumbs.
