As well as setting me various homework challenges, Trev (bless him), is allowing me to bring in pieces that I fancy having a crack at.<\/p>\n

As a massive Missy Higgins fan, it was reasonably obvious that I would take one of her pieces in.<\/p>\n

But which one?<\/p>\n

I like the challenge of ‘Angela’. Having the capo on the fifth fret presents me with a particular biomechanical challenge.<\/p>\n

I’m getting the hang of ‘ordinary’ changes, but G -> C -> Am -> D -> G, with the capo in place is a bit of a challenge.<\/p>\n

Purely a biomechanical challenge; my fingers are just unused to\u00a0manoeuvring in the confined space, that having a capo on the fifth fret brings.<\/p>\n

This live video shows that Missy Higgins occasionally has a problem or two with the progression too, so I don’t feel too bad that I’m struggling.<\/p>\n

I do love this song. And I love Missy Higgins. I just wish the piece I’d chosen was a bit easier to play!<\/p>\n
