You’re an author. You’ve written two successful books. Your third has been proofed, edited and is in print. You have confirmation of the date when book number three will be delivered.<\/p>\n

But.<\/p>\n

You need a venue for the book launch.<\/p>\n

The venue has to be distinctive. It has to be seen to relate to the author and it has to relate to the subject.<\/p>\n

An almost impossible task?<\/p>\n

Almost, but today it was Aced<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The launch for Sam Manicom’s<\/a> third set of real-life, motorcycle and travel adventures, ‘Distant Suns’ was held at a world-famous venue that fitted all of the requirements.<\/p>\n

London’s Ace Caf\u00c3\u00a9<\/a> is a 70-year-old, motorbike-related, eating- and meeting-place. It has a rich history that stretches across many myths and legends that includes mods, rockers, Angels (and Demons) and even four-wheeled petrol-heads.<\/p>\n

The setting for the ‘Distant Suns’ launch was brilliantly chosen. That the place was packed for the 14.00 kick-off only added to the atmosphere.<\/p>\n

We had live music from the hugely talented Steve McGill<\/a>, we had lashings of good food, we had mugs of tea and two brief speeches. And books.<\/p>\n

Many, many books.<\/p>\n

As you can see from the photo, the quality of the presentation was first class. Two words I’d use to describe the venue.<\/p>\n

Well done to everyone who had a part in today’s launch.<\/p>\n
