{"id":7945,"date":"2012-07-02T20:57:42","date_gmt":"2012-07-02T19:57:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=7945"},"modified":"2012-07-02T20:57:42","modified_gmt":"2012-07-02T19:57:42","slug":"playing-with-myself","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brennigjones.com\/blog\/?p=7945","title":{"rendered":"Playing with myself"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You know what I mean.<\/p>\n<p>That irresistible urge.<\/p>\n<p>Usually first thing in the morning or last thing at night.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes both.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes during the day too.<\/p>\n<p>But, no matter how, you know, how much you want to slip away and have a little, you know, quality time&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It isn&#8217;t convenient.<\/p>\n<p>Or, when you&#8217;re at home and it is either the morning urge or the evening urge, you just feel too tired to start the ball rolling.<\/p>\n<p>Well yeah.<\/p>\n<p>That.<\/p>\n<p>So, my workaround, my very, very cunning plan to help me get to grips with my secretive urge is to&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Keep my acoustic guitar in my car.<\/p>\n<p>Because no matter how much I feel like getting guitar practice in the morning, there just is not time.<\/p>\n<p>And no matter how much I feel like guitar practice in the evening, I&#8217;m usually just too deadbeat.<\/p>\n<p>But keeping my acoustic in the car seems to be working.<\/p>\n<p>I slip out to the car for a 20-minute lunchbreak and get my daily practice.<\/p>\n<p>But I could really do with someone else to work with.<\/p>\n<p>My Tuesday lessons with Trev are brilliant; he makes me work for it, but he joins me, and we duet most of my exercises.<\/p>\n<p>But I&#8217;m looking to make progress quicker, and a practice partner might help.<\/p>\n<p>I might put a notice up in the music shop.<\/p>\n<p>Just to see.<\/p>\n<p>Just to stop me from playing with myself quite as much as I do.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You know what I mean.
