Well, here we are again. The Wunth of February. The second month of 2026 and it’s been a heck of a year already. And why is it that January has 72 days yet the calendar lies and says there are only 31? And why is it that some people seem to have forgotten how to operate their vehicles in the Christmas/New Year break and are, even now, stuttering around the lanes and byways in their cars as if the vehicles were being driven by some kind of alien/plant hybrid lifeform?
Anyway, rhetorical and not-so-rhetorical questions aside, February is, of course, the month of Young Masher’s Blogathontm, the Internet sensation which has, for the last 20 years, literally been setting, erm, the Internet, on fire (not actually on fire because we’re not allowed to play with matches or anything).
The aim, for the 2 people on this planet who haven’t yet heard of the Blogathon, is to post a witty, informative, and occasionally interesting blog-post-a-day for the month of February.
And that’s it. That’s all.
As a positive incentive, I shall give £1 for every day I hit my goal to a couple of charities I regularly support: British Heart Foundation and also Khalsa Aid.
So there you have it; me wasting time for a good cause and Masher doing what he does best (documenting the world through is eyes). What’s not to like?
What’s not to like? I could give you a list.
But I won’t.
Thanks in advance for keeping me company.
