This morning, at 6.30am (dark, touch of fog), on an unlit rural road at 50mph I hit this with my front nearside wheel.

Actually I didn’t hit that. That’s what it looked like after being hit with my front nearside wheel at 50mph.
Here’s another angle.

Don’t ask what happened to my car, the insurance people said I shouldn’t show you the mess that happens when a car loses all steering at 50mph on a bend, straightlines the bend and tries to mate itself with a signpost.
And a ditch.
And then a hedge.
I have a hire car now.
so this road feeds into the Middleton Stoney traffic lights past Kirtlington?
Yep.
Not nice.
It could have been worse though, had you decided to ride to work.
Ironically, the line the brick was on is not the line I would have ridden on the Bandit.
‘Kin ‘ell Bren, I trust all of your pieces are as one?
As Masher says, bloody good job you weren’t on two wheels
I got banged around. Had concussion. Blurred vision for 24 hours, but I’m good. All in one piece.
As I said by Tweet, cars can be fixed – you cannot.
I’m glad you weren’t on your bike mate.
Thanks Perp. Running around on the Bandit when the weather isn’t awful, and a hire car when it is.
