Why are ferry floors always so shiny? Do they still swab the decks, y’think?
Anyway, that brought back memories of many years ago when a bunch of us went to Le Mans. I was on my GPz 750, I think. The ferries back then weren’t so geared up for motorcycle parking. We had to ride up to an upper level and I remember them giving us a rope each so we could lash the bikes to some handrailings!
I haven’t been on a vehicle ferry for many years, but I remember as a kid getting out of the family Triumph 2500 PI and watching as the crew tied it and the trailer down – alongside the trains! Those were great family holidays. Except on the odd occasion I got car sick.
