Mapping a fix

I forgot to note that I have fixed the Daytona’s intermittent starting problem.

After carefully researching the symptoms (poking about on the internet, speaking to other very geeky Triumph owners and talking to a couple of motorbike mechanics), a solution was suggested.

I downloaded a new version of the engine management software.

Then I remapped the engine with the updated software.

And that fixed the problem, as easily as that.

I’m not sure what Triumph changed, but it could have been any number of things.

I strongly suspect they adjusted the sensitivity of the automatic choke, but the bottom line is the new EMS fixed the problem.
