It’s that time of the year again, so I took the Ninja off to the nice people at Chris Walker Kawasaki for her annual check-up and service. Obviously she got the double thumbs up. But while I was talking to Mr Walker himself about something else, he mentioned in passing that I don’t have the engine output on the maximum power setting. It was on low output. I made a mental note to turn it up when I got home (and duly did).
However, the peculiar thing is, it must have been on low output since I got her. Do you know the speeds I’ve achieved on 60% of the power of that engine? Well… 185mph. On a private road, obviously. And do you know how rapid my departures from standing starts have been? Rapid, I can tell you.
So it’s going to be interesting to see what we get on 100% of the engine output, innit?
If it was me, I’d turn it down to 40% 🙂
