Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

I had hoped to publish a very short video clip, via youtube, of the drive up the track from the stables, past the outdoor arena, up towards the ‘B’ road that runs past the yard but… although youtube says the clip has been successfully loaded, it just won’t play.

Here’s where it should be, if they ever fit the correct widget to the thing that makes the player play:

Because that still might not work, here’s a clip of a bunch of people who just can’t drive – because in my book, being able to drive means being able to drive in all weather, not just the bits of it we like:

  1. The embedded vid plays in Firefox 3.5.6, if that’s any help? Quite a lot of snow for you guys. None whatsoever here which is greatly to my liking. Ah cannae be dae-ing wi anymair snow (said the Scottish lassie).

  2. Hi Lis, yeah, it’s resolved now. It was a youtube issue not a browser issue, thanks. Love the Schcottish accent tho!

  3. To be fair, “being able to drive in all weather… that you choose to drive in.” I’m not about to learn how to drive in hurricane force winds – but then I’m not going to try it either.

Perhaps you should move to a more temperate climate. I’ve seen snow in Wellington about 4 times in 30+ years and they were very light dustings. But then we are about 10 degrees closer to the equator.

  4. Allister, how about ‘being able to drive in all reasonable weather’, then? I get totally fucked off with twunts who are mentally incapable of driving in what is, after all, a routine weather condition for this time of the year. Degrees of severity don’t apply, the rules for driving *in snow* are the same.

  5. But that clip of car crashes is in America!

Here in the UK, drivers are faaaaar more sensible and capable when the snows come.

    Aren’t we?
