We are watching the final episode in season 2 of the BBC’s newest comedy series ‘Survivors’.
I haven’t laughed so much since the first time I watched Men Behaving Badly.
Survivors wins the comedy gold medal on so many different fronts:
- Believable characters
- Sustainable plot
- Plausibility
- Accuracy
- Attention to detail
- Scientific fact
Oh yes, Survivors has none of these things
Not one.
It really is appallingly awful.
not forgetting of course, that it has the same plot every week.
Julie Graham specialises in dire tv, I swear she does. I have sat through a fair bit of this dirge, as the man indoors mistakenly thought it was going to get better. That small woman who’s a doctor is a sanctimonious shrew and Julie Graham just seems to run about shrieking ‘Peter’ a lot. Which mystifies me as I’m not sure who Peter is. Crap of the very highest order, but still nowhere near as earth-shatteringly shite as the amazingly awful ‘Bonekickers’ was.
LizSara, Aye, considering that the plot is ‘some months’ down the line, it’s remarkable how little everything has progressed.
Vicola, The characters attempting to cling on to pre-Armageddon touchy-feely values is risible. I still watch it though, even if only to scoff at the awful badness of it all.
I’ve not seen it but it looks quite bad just by seeing stuff about it on BBCs website.
