8am.
It is Soph’s birthday today.
Thirty-one.
31.
We’re sitting on the couch, Soph’s opening her cards and presents and I’m enjoying watching her facial expressions.
It’s like watching a child at Christmas.
With every card opened or present unwrapped, her expression lights up as if the best thing in the world *ever* is happening in front of her.
Thirty-one.
Going on ten.
🙂
Happy birthday Soph! Hope you both enjoy the day. And 31 can’t possibly be as depressing as the day you turn 30…
Hah! Unlike the narly old cynic that you are; perhaps each present IS the best thing ever! 🙂
Happy birthday Soph!! Keep on being 10. Eleven is that difficult age when you have to make your subject choices at school and pretend that you don’t like the Simpsons any more.
Happy birthday to Soph.
31 – ah, those were the days.
Only 31? It seems unfair that one so young should have to suffer Bren’s rants and raves.
Happy Birthday, Soph!
What’s the point of getting presents and cards if each of them isn’t the best thing that happened to you, ever?
Happy Birthday Soph! 30 it a great age to be. Hope you got lots of nice pressies from Bren!
Thank you for the birthday wishes! I had a lovely lazy day which involved excellent things like unwrapping presents (oh so many books and DVDs…my preciousssssss), partaking of coffee with my lovely boy (Brennig, of course), eating cake, napping on the sofa and discovering parts of Witney that I never knew existed! Oh and eating highly unseasonable food out in the sunshine…(giant Yorkshire pudding with bangers and mash). Oh and watching The Breakfast Club, again, which is well worth all of the cheesy, dialogue, Judd Nelson’s flary nostrils and Molly Ringwald’s awful nail varnish for the denouement. And the Simple Minds track.
Anyway, thank you, I had a good day. And am enjoying my week off of doing bugger all! (I did vacuum today – woo!)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOPH FROM DANNY RHYMEZ AND TWATTY B
