A little taste of Spain?

After Malibu we drove around the coast.

Oxnard, Ventura and Santa Barbara.

For me, the discovery of the trip so far was the gorgeous Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara, California

The town was beautiful. And very quiet.

Another view of Santa Barbara, California

Santa Barbara had a distinctive ‘European’ feel about it. I loved the feel of the place, and I loved the architecture.

Later we drove to Arroyo Grande where we spent the night in a much cheaper hotel – £90.

Unfortunately I was so knackered that I fell asleep about 6pm and didn’t wake up until 6am.

I am a party animal.

Not.

  1. I love Santa Barbara. But my bank account would never allow me to live in the Peoples’ Republic of California.

    Wait ’till you see Omaha.

    Not.

  2. Claire, my nights out are legendary. Really. I just don’t do them when I’m hanging.

Bulldog, California was brilliant. But very Spanish in history and Latino in inhabitants.
