Hmmm… slightly worrying!
It amused me that the article was written by Oliver Wright.
He would know about such things, of course.
Ahhh bollocks!
Just realised, it was Orville, wasn’t it!
And before you say it, I don’t mean that green duck!
It worries slightly that you keep featuring videos of motorcycles having accidents.
Bollocks. I was just coming back to say something witty about Keith Harris, his arm, and a duck’s backside.
The thing is with bike accident videos (or any accident videos), is they remind me how fallible I am. No matter how good or how safe I think I am, these things are there to remind me that complacency contributes to accidents.
Like the current video. No matter what the inserted graphic says, that accident was caused by the rider losing concentration. He lost his mental edge several times in that clip; lost his line on bends, got too close to the centre line and the outer boundary line. Complacent.

Yes, you’re right. Perhaps we need to watch vids like that to remind us of our own fallibility.
Certainly, watching that, I felt a bit “Whoa!” on some of the bends.
“…cost us $5m a year.”
Somebody want to point out to this wanker that they carry almost enough passengers in one month for a $1 charge to cover their extra fuel for a year!
I’d pay a dollar to know there was enough fuel on board!!
I’m concerned that the culture at Ryanair seems, from reports in the British media, to have rotated away from passenger safety. I’m concerned enough to not want to fly with them again. But that wouldn’t stop a dry aircraft from dropping out of the sky, though.
