End of January again? Already?

The last day of January 2016 has brought with it another few well-known names to add to the list of those who have unfortunately checked out of this mortal existence.

January has been an unduly harsh month, in as much as there is a long list of honourable celebrated folk who have left us.

I am, though, sorely disappointed at the relatively few fuckwit politicians on the list.

Apart from Cecil Parkinson, obv.

It seems to me that being alive is a little like being at a party, a party where the atmosphere for the majority could be improved if certain people just left.

However, as January begins to fade in to the winter gloom of despair, February approaches over the hill of joyous abandon.

Or something.

And with it, February brings that eagerly anticipated annual event: The Young Masher Annual Blogathon(tm).

I was introduced to this blogging challenge by Young Masher himself.

This year, like previous years, I shall be attempting to keep my blogging end up.

So to speak.

As an added incentive, I shall be donating £2 for every day I keep the Blogathon faith.

And for every day I drop the ball, I shall donate £5.

The 4th of February 2016 will be World Cancer Day, so it seems appropriate that I support this worthy cause through my successful, or fumbled, blogging attempts.

If you’re interested in supporting the cause, feel free to bung them a fiver.

Thanks.

And I’m sorry for what you are likely to read in the coming days.

Really.

Very sorry.

  1. Aha, good for you, Bren.

A self-imposed financial incentive to blog? That’s a good idea… wish I’d thought of that.

And that’s a very worthy cause too. I wish you the best of luck with it.
