Music Challenge: Day 20/2016

A song that I want played at my wedding

Wow, this is difficult.

I seem to be starting a lot of those posts with those words.

But it really is.

I had music at my wedding.

It was long-listed, short-listed, agonised over and painstakingly checked and double-checked.

Can’t remember a single note.

That’s more a statement about the where my mind wasn’t, rather than me having a senior moment.

I hope.

So if the former, what should I choose?

Something symbolic, perhaps, rather than something chosen for a purely musical value?

I could go ironic with Turn of a Friendly Card by the Alan Parsons Project.

But when it would be played anyway?

Think about it.

It won’t be a church wedding.

Hell, it won’t even be a religious wedding.

But there will be a message.

So it might as well come from the pen, and the voice, of an amazingly talented wonderfully miserable man.
