Despite it being waterproof, I only take it off when I’m swimming or in the shower.
I check it so many times a day I couldn’t count.
It measures the distance I walk (not far on a working day), the number of steps I take (as before), the number of stairways I walk up/down, and my heartrate.
It is, of course, my Fatbot Fitbit:

Does it help you keep a bit fit?
Yes but no but yes but no but…
I don’t count steps but “active kilojoules.” A work day easily gets me over my goal of 3000 because I take a rather circuitous route walking from the railway station to the office. Direct, it’s about 1.1km. My usual route lately has been about double that. Then I do, I think, about 1.6 or so back in the evening, plus a lunch time walk. Weekends are the hard ones. Today being a lazy, rainy Saturday, I barely got past 1000.
