Weapon Of Choice

We started the Easter break in fine style – the dogs permitted us a long lie-in until almost 8am. Bliss.

There was a long dogwalk, breakfast, mug of tea, and just general sitting about and chatting and chilling.

Right now she’s making stuff and I’m partway through reviewing the edits that the editor has suggested/made to the manuscript of the difficult second novel. This has thrown up some interesting and unexpected language differences between my British English and (her) American English.

The dogs are loving having the house full of humans instead of having to put up with just me.

There have been hot-dogs for lunch, there’s been some Scala Radio and some Spotify playlist listening.

The dogs are going to get another long walk soon. There’s the threat/promise of another MCU film this evening (we watched Birds of Prey yesterday and I found it tedious).

All in all this has been a great day. Why can’t every day be this good?

I think I’m off to North Wales tomorrow; Good Mood has been put back in the water after the below the waterline work. I want to give her a thorough clean below decks and in the cockpit and, if there’s time, powerwash her topsides.

A little earlier, I saw this video via the Twitter and I was amazed. Who knew Christopher Walken had trained as a dancer before he became an actor?

Anyway, it’s worth a look.
