Going back to my routes

Going back to my routes

I’m going up to Deganwy in a few hours. If I wasn’t taking a few bits and bobs for spare parts and many tools, I’d probably be going up on the Ninja.

But I wouldn’t take the usual A50/M6/M56 route because that would be dull AF.

No, I’d go west, probably to Dolgellau, then north through Snowdonia, calling through Trawsfynydd, Maentwrog, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Bethesda and Llanfairfechan.

Of course, a route this pretty on a motorbike would demand frequent stops for mugs of tea and bacon cobs (or similar), or even cake.

And also, needless to say, this route, plus stops, would take longer than the usual 2-1/2 hours.

But the scenery would be terrific (if Snowdonia wasn’t bathed in low cloud, as it sometimes is).

Maybe I should invest in/put together a ‘marine’ toolkit which can be left on the boat? And maybe I could look at staying overnight on the boat, to maximise working time?

  1. That would be the sensible thing to do.

I clocked up a few miles on the bike yesterday morning… perfect riding conditions.

    1. Sensible? Me? Not likely. Yep, I’ve done some road miles on the Ninja lately 🙂
