Blogathon 25/23: Hump!

I’m writing this one from the comfort and security of the bed. There’s one spaniel across both of my legs, another across one of my legs, a third spaniel asleep at the foot of the bed, and the fourth has just crawled under the bed (where she’ll stay until about 04.00, when she will crawl out, jump onto me, and sleep until my alarm goes off an hour later).

Anyway.

A week ago I won a thing on eBay. A sailing thing. An expensive sailing thing, but not as expensive as buying one brand new. Mateybob The Seller said he was away last week but I should let him know when I could pop down to the South Coast to pick it up. I told him that I’d be happy to collect it on either Saturday or Sunday (being this weekend).

There was no response.

I left it a couple of days then messaged again, asking which was the more convenient day for him.

Silence.

So yesterday (Friday) I messaged again asking what the hell is going on?

Still no response.

I haven’t lost any money, because it was a cash on collection transaction, but that’s really not the point. I’m now starting to think he didn’t have the item in the first place, and it was all a bit of a laugh for him.

I’ve still got the money, and I haven’t made a trip to the South Coast. I don’t have the thing. But I do have the hump.
