I was involved in an accident this morning, on the way in to the Park and Ride car park.
It wasn’t serious in as much as my car has minor bodywork damage but is driveable (so is the other) and neither driver was injured in any way.
It’s just such a total pain in the arse.
I’ve got photographs of the aftermath and vehicles involved, I’ve got the full details of the other driver and I’m now continuing on my way in to work.
But I feel… unhappy. Grumpy. Angry. Pissed off.
It’s all so unnecessary.

And it just gets so much better. My insurance company tell me that he is an unisured driver. Fucking wonderful.
Had someone go into the back of me just down the road recently. Totally not looking where she was going as I had been stationary for several seconds. I was seriously annoyed as I got out of the car, but reigned myself in at the sight of a mother with two crying kids in the back of the car who was clearly stressed and accepting blame. Still a pain to take the car in – twice – to get fixed. More annoyed at the panel beaters who miscommunicated things making twice the trips and twice as long.
An uninsured driver is breaking the law. Be sure to inform the police so the idiot learns his lesson.
Also Park and Ride always reminds me of bumper cars at a fairground for some reason. it’s probably not appropriate to say that is it?
I know what you mean – I had a minor bump a few years back and I had a couple of weeks of dicking about with the car afterwards. I’m surprised he gave you his details if he was uninsured – what a prick.
Uninsured drivers should be shot. Or something.
